The early gatherings consciously followed the Roman poet Quintus Horatius Flaccus, … Continued

Mosaics … is the bringing together of broken pieces to create something whole and … Continued

Mid-Week Meander

This is a glorious Mid-Week Meander through the picturesque Town of Toodyay. Toodyay has long been hailed as a beautiful historic Town, situated in Perth’s back yard. It is located just over 85k from the Perth CBD but the hidden gem is the AvonLink Rail Service. The rail journey through the Avon Valley is a must do activity for all West Australians and visitors. The peaceful clickety-clack of the train coupled with the magnificent scenery, which changes with each season, is absolutely magic. Once in Toodyay this walking tour will take in some of Toodyay’s historic buildings and the stories attached. After your sumptuous Mid-tea, you will stroll to the Newcastle Gaol Precinct then across the footbridge to the main street of Town to the shopping strip. There are plenty of unique shops to pique your interest and of course there is our world-renowned Christmas 360 Shop. Your walk ends at Connor’s Mill taking in the old-world charm of Toodyay’s very own steam driven flour mill. Connor’s Mill is on the edge of Town near the Visitor’s Centre (for you to pop in and explore what else) and close proximity to the Train Station for your departure.

The value of a HUG!

Friends hugging A good friend of mine was over from Queensland a while back. We hadn’t seen each for many months and made a date to catch up for breakfast. I have never been a hugger.
