Having the money to live the life you want is integral to your wellness. Our relationship with money is uniquely our own and to spend time fully understanding this is necessary in order to effect change.
Remember the quote ‘we are what we think about’? This too, relates to money. How do you view money? How do you think about money?
Are any of these your thoughts? Tick those that may creep into your thought patterns often or occasionally.
- I am not worthy of having lots of it?
- There is no way I can ever have [insert amount] of money?
- I am not good enough, to get the job that earns that sort of money.
- I always get overlooked for the promotions.
- I can’t start my own business I have no money.
Self Limiting Beliefs
These are self limiting beliefs; thoughts and assumptions we hold about ourselves that restrict our potential and prevent us from pursuing our goals. These beliefs often stem from past experiences, societal conditioning, or fear of failure, and they act as mental barriers that keep us stuck in old patterns. Recognising and challenging these self-limiting beliefs is essential for personal growth, as it opens up new possibilities and empowers us to move beyond the limitations we’ve imposed on ourselves.
So, if we hold a belief that is not serving us, what can we do? We can simply bust it using two very simple words … what if?
What if you are worthy, what if you could have that amount of money, what if you are good enough, what if you could get that promotion, what if you can start your own business?
It really is that simple. By having negative thoughts, we ultimately end up living that exact life … the one we are constantly thinking about. This … be true!
So here are a few tips to get you started on your quest for achieving financial wellness.
